Tomorrow’s event has been postponed while Patty has an emergency heart procedure.

Our daughter has known this family for many years. She mentored their wonderful daughter in martial arts and we witnessed their dedication to family and their children.  They have always been self-sufficient and hardworking and now they need the community's support.  

We are donating our time, our sincere intention to heal, and the ever-incredible healing energy of 4 gongs to provide you with an expansive gong experience! The proceeds (excluding only the venue rent and any advertising costs) will go to the family to help with food, rent, and necessities. We will keep NOTHING for this event and simply want to provide some relief to Ryan, Shyla and their girls.  Please join us!

Below is just a snippet of their story - Ryan's plea from the GoFundMe he created. 

❤️ My name is Ryan. My family is going through a rough time. I have been in the hospital and have Dr. Appointments all the time.

The first big problems started with a brain bleed and seizures on 7/4/23. On the 5th I went into surgery for the brain bleed. I was in the hospital for about 10 days and was down for over a month. I was in and out of the Dr office and hospital visits. I started physical therapy twice a week until the insurance stopped letting me go. I have not worked full-time since the 4th of July. 

In January I was dropped to 9 hours a week. After that I started selling everything I own...

Then I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with bronchitis. Then in a few days I was in the ER getting my lung drained of fluid. Over the next few weeks I had 3 more ER visits to drain my lung. On the 5th time they drained my lung they decided to get fluid from outside the lung and was keeping me overnight. Over the next 24 hours some time, I coded and was rushed to the ICU. My lung collapsed and I was dying. They even called my wife to rush up a say goodbye.

 I don't remember the next 2 days. Was in the hospital for 23 days. I have been mostly stuck in bed. My wife has been looking for a job. But all of this has happened. She has been lucky and has been a stay-at- home mom for our 2 kids and now me also. She is looking for stay-at- home jobs. But they all look like scams. If you know anything about work-from-home jobs please let us know. I am a 3 year beginner in leather work now that I don't shake as much I can get back to it. I have given away most of my work

I filed for unemployment back is September but no decision yet.

And now the bad news. I will be heading to Denver on June 10th and 11th to start all the testing for a liver transplant. I will also be checked to see if I qualify for a tips procedure. This should give me 2 to 4 more years . I do not know anything until this is done.

Yes I am asking for money to help with bills. But I am asking for any help with canned food because of the date,

The dates don't bother me. Stuff you would normally take to goodwill, throw away, or just cleaning out. I am on a very restricted diet. I found one of the bullet blenders it's OK but it's missing parts. I also found probably the cheapest juicer in the world. It probably costs more in the produce section them just by a bottle. Then I cook normal for the family.

 I have $200 in my bank account. My monthly bills are about $1300 a month. I am past due on all of them I also owe $5000 from a family loan to not get evicted. I do get food stamps that covers half the month. I also get tanif that pays half the rent. I have been trying to get leap to help with bills, I keep getting the push around just like disability. I also go to the food bank twice a week.

I think I am done for now. It's late and I have been writing and rewriting these for a week. 

This is so hard to post I don't know what else to do. My family, friends and doctors have persuaded me to do this until I am back on my feet.
